eBay listing errors

What are eBay listing errors and eBay error codes? How do I fix them?

Each eBay listing requires specific details to be allowed on eBay. eBay's requirements can change based on the type of listing and which eBay category the item is assigned. If any required details don't exist or have a wrong value, eBay will send an error instead of publishing your listing. You may see these errors when:

editing and publishing a listing,
utilizing eBay API,
or when using third-party eBay software.

Each error is assigned a code of several digits (the Error Code) in addition to a message that states the error's cause.
