The starting price must be less than the reserve price.

On an auction the starting price must be lower than the reserve price. Adjust one of them and republish.

Why this happens

The Auction's Reserve price is less than the Starting price. Why eBay enforces this: A reserve price is the lowest amount you will accept in an auction. If the starting bid were already above it, the reserve would be meaningless, so eBay requires the starting price to be lower. When it usually happens: It shows up when a seller raises the starting price on an auction template or copies an old listing without updating the reserve.

Example Wrong Settings

Starting price 120.00 with a reserve price of 100.00.

Example Correct Settings

Starting price 49.99 with a reserve price of 100.00.

How to fix it

  1. In 3Dsellers, open the auction listing's pricing.
  2. Either lower the starting price below the reserve, or raise the reserve above the starting price.
  3. Publish again.

How to prevent it

When you change auction pricing, update starting price, reserve and Buy It Now together, and keep the order starting price below reserve below Buy It Now.
