Your listing cannot contain javascript (".cookie", "cookie(", "replace(", IFRAME, META, or includes), cookies or base href.

The description or listing template contains JavaScript, an iframe, a meta tag or cookie code, which eBay does not allow. Remove it and republish.

Why this happens

Your item description contains HTML <script> code, or the HTML elements include JavaScript code. Why eBay enforces this: eBay blocks active content in listings, including JavaScript, iframes, meta tags and cookies, to stop malware, tracking and redirects to other sites. Any of these in the description or template makes eBay refuse the listing. When it usually happens: It usually appears with old HTML templates, embedded video players, visitor counters, or code copied from a web store's product page.

Description template contains an iframe with a YouTube video and a script tag for a visitor counter.

Example Correct Settings

Description uses plain HTML and CSS; the video is added through eBay's own video upload.

How to fix it

  1. In 3Dsellers, open the listing and switch the description editor to HTML view.
  2. Search for script tags, iframe, meta, base href, ".cookie", "cookie(" and "replace(" and delete those blocks.
  3. If the listing uses a Listing Designer template, open the template and check its HTML the same way.
  4. Save and publish again.
