Returns & Payment Policy

eBay Error 21919177: Because you've specified Local Collection Only for this item, you can't require immediate payment.

Returns & Payment Policy
Copy link

Immediate payment cannot be required on a local-pickup-only listing. Change the payment policy or add a shipping service.

Why this happens

eBay does not allow immediate payments for listings with "local pickup" as a delivery option. Why eBay enforces this: Local pickup buyers usually pay when they collect the item. eBay does not allow immediate payment to be required when pickup is the only delivery option. When it usually happens: It usually appears on large items listed for collection only with a general payment policy.

Example Wrong Settings

Collection-only listing with immediate payment required.

Example Correct Settings

Collection-only listing with a payment policy that allows payment on pickup.

How to fix it

  1. In 3Dsellers, assign a payment policy without the immediate-payment requirement (cash on pickup is fine), or add a shipping service to the shipping policy.
  2. Publish again.

How to prevent it

Keep a separate payment policy for collection-only items.
