Returns & Payment Policy

eBay Error 2191086: You must choose at least one payment method.

Returns & Payment Policy
Copy link

The listing has no payment method. Assign a payment policy and republish.

Why this happens

The payment settings do not include a way for the buyer to pay. Why eBay enforces this: Buyers need at least one way to pay, and eBay checks this on every listing. A listing without a payment method is refused. When it usually happens: It usually appears when payment policies were deleted in Seller Hub while listings still pointed to them.

Example Wrong Settings

Listing's payment policy was deleted in Seller Hub last week.

Example Correct Settings

Listing uses an active payment policy set as the account default.

How to fix it

  1. In 3Dsellers, open the listing and select a payment policy.
  2. If the account has no policies yet, create one in eBay Seller Hub and refresh policies in 3Dsellers.
  3. Publish again.

How to prevent it

Refresh policies in 3Dsellers after editing them in Seller Hub, and keep one default payment policy per account.
