eBay Error 21916930: The original condition value will be kept because you are revising an active listing

eBay keeps the original condition on an active listing. To change the condition, end the listing and relist it.

Why this happens

eBay will not allow you to change the condition on this listing moving forward. Why eBay enforces this: Condition is a core part of what buyers see and search for. On active listings eBay keeps the original condition, so the rest of your revision is applied but the condition is not. When it usually happens: It usually appears when condition values are corrected in bulk on live listings.

Example Wrong Settings

Condition changed from Used to New on an active listing.

Example Correct Settings

Listing ended and relisted with condition New.

How to fix it

  1. Leave the condition unchanged on the live listing; the other fields in your revision were applied.
  2. To change the condition, end the listing and relist it from 3Dsellers with the new condition.

How to prevent it

Set the correct condition before the first publish, and relist when it has to change.
