Etsy seller fees in Singapore, 2026
Etsy sets its fees by where your bank account is, not where the buyer is. A shop paid into a bank account in Singapore pays the fees below on every sale. The listing fee and the Offsite Ads cap are set in US dollars and converted at the day’s rate; everything else is charged in SGD.

A worked example
Sell one item for SGD 32.00 with SGD 6.50 shipping, with no VAT ID on file. It cost you SGD 10.00 to make or buy and SGD 5.00 to ship.
Etsy keeps 13.58% of the order and you keep SGD 18.27, a 47.45% margin. If the buyer came from an Offsite Ad the fee jumps by SGD 5.78 and the profit drops to SGD 11.97. To make SGD 19.00 on the order instead, the calculator’s second mode says to price the item at SGD 32.84; a 40% margin needs SGD 26.05.
How to use the calculator
- Enter the sale price and what you charge for shipping. Add gift wrap or a discount if the order has one, and the quantity if the buyer takes more than one.
- Enter your costs. What the item cost to make or buy, what you pay yourself for the time, the shipping label, and anything else like packaging or ads.
- Check the fee settings. The country is set to Singapore; change it if your bank account is elsewhere. Tick the GST box if Etsy has your GST ID, which removes GST from the fees. Mark the sale as an Offsite Ads sale only when it was one.
- Read the result. Every fee is listed, then your costs, then the profit. The bar shows how the order splits between Etsy, your costs and you. Switch to “What price I need” to enter the profit or margin you want and get the price that reaches it.
What each Etsy fee is
Listing fee
$0.20 for every listing you publish, whether or not it sells, and the listing expires after four months unless it renews for another $0.20. When a buyer takes several units from one listing, Etsy charges $0.20 for each extra unit, which is why the calculator multiplies the listing fee by the quantity. Etsy converts the fee to SGD at the rate on the day, so it shows as about SGD 0.26.
Transaction fee
6.5% of the item price, the shipping you charge and any gift wrap, in the listing currency. For sellers outside the US it is charged on the full listed price, including any VAT you build into it. Personalisation charges count too.
Payment processing fee
4.4% + SGD 0.35, charged on the item price, shipping for every order paid through Etsy Payments. Refunds return the fee in proportion.
Offsite Ads fee
Etsy advertises listings on Google, Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest and Bing. If a buyer clicks one of those ads and orders from your shop within 30 days, you pay 15% of the order, or 12% once your shop has made $10,000 in any 365-day stretch. The fee on one order never goes above $100 (about SGD 127.53). Shops under $10,000 can opt out; above it the ads are mandatory. Leave the calculator’s Offsite Ads setting off for a normal order and switch it on to see what an ad-driven order nets you.
Currency conversion fee
If your listings are priced in a currency other than SGD, Etsy converts each sale and keeps 2.5% for it. Listing in SGD avoids the fee.
GST on Etsy fees
Etsy adds 9% GST to all of its fees for sellers in Singapore unless the seller has given Etsy a GST ID. With an ID on file the fees are invoiced without GST under the reverse-charge rules. The calculator adds it on top of each fee and shows it as its own line, so the profit figure is what actually reaches your bank.
How to keep more of each sale
- Price with the fees in. Use “What price I need” with the margin you want. A price that looks fine before fees can leave a thin margin once the 13.58% is gone.
- Charge for shipping separately if it is expensive. The 6.5% transaction fee applies either way, but a high all-in price also raises the amount any percentage discount comes off.
- Give Etsy your GST ID if you are registered. Etsy then stops adding 9% GST to every fee; on the example above that is SGD 0.43 per order.
- Watch the Offsite Ads threshold. Once a shop passes $10,000 in a year it cannot opt out, so build the 12% into prices before you get there, not after.
- List in SGD. Listings in another currency cost 2.5% of every sale in conversion fees, more than the listing fee on most orders.
- Bundle multi-item orders. A second unit from the same listing costs $0.20 more in listing fees but no extra fixed processing fee, so it is cheaper than two separate orders.
Frequently asked questions
How much does Etsy take from a SGD 32.00 sale in Singapore?
With SGD 6.50 shipping the order is SGD 38.50 and Etsy takes SGD 5.23: SGD 0.26 listing, SGD 2.50 transaction (6.5%), SGD 2.04 payment processing (4.4% + SGD 0.35) and SGD 0.43 GST on those fees. That is 13.6% of the order. An Offsite Ads sale would add another SGD 5.77.
Does Etsy charge fees on shipping?
Yes. The 6.5% transaction fee and the payment processing fee both apply to the shipping you charge the buyer. Only the listing fee ignores shipping. Free shipping does not avoid the fee, it just moves the shipping cost into the item price where the same percentages apply.
Is the $0.20 listing fee charged once per listing or per item sold?
Both. You pay $0.20 (about SGD 0.26) when you publish the listing, and when the listing renews after four months or after a sale. If a buyer orders three units from one listing you pay $0.20 for each of the two extra units, so the calculator charges the listing fee per unit in the order.
What is the Offsite Ads fee, and can I turn it off?
Etsy runs ads for your listings on Google, Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest and Bing and charges 15% of any order a buyer places within 30 days of clicking one, or 12% once your shop has made $10,000 in a 365-day period. The fee is capped at $100 (about SGD 127.53) per order. You can opt out while the shop is under $10,000; above it the ads are mandatory. It applies to sellers in every country, including Singapore.
Does Etsy charge a regulatory operating fee in Singapore?
No. As of 24 September 2026 Etsy charges that fee only to shops with bank accounts in Canada, France, Hungary, India, Italy, Spain, Türkiye, the UK and Vietnam. If your bank account is in one of those countries, pick it in the calculator and the fee appears.

Switch the calculator to “What price I need”, enter your costs and either the profit you want per order or the margin you want, and it returns the lowest price that reaches it after every fee. With the example costs, SGD 19.00 of profit needs a SGD 32.84 price.
Are Etsy fees different for hobby sellers and businesses?
No. Etsy charges the same listing, transaction, processing and Offsite Ads fees to every shop. The only difference is GST: a registered business that gives Etsy its GST ID is not charged GST on the fees, a hobby seller is.
