Conversio

Conversio was an email marketing app for online stores on Shopify, BigCommerce and WooCommerce.

Conversio was an email marketing app for online stores on Shopify, BigCommerce and WooCommerce. It sent branded order receipts, abandoned cart emails, follow-up emails and newsletters, collected product reviews and customer feedback, and supported segments and coupon codes. It connected with apps such as Smile loyalty rewards, ViralSweep, Searchanise and Bold Cashier. It did not connect to eBay or other marketplaces. In October 2019, CM Group, the parent of Campaign Monitor, acquired Conversio and relaunched it as CM Commerce, with Starter and Growth plans priced by list size. Archived CM Commerce pages were still online in May 2026, but by September 2026 cm-commerce.com redirected to the Campaign Monitor homepage. The conversio.com domain is now used by a UK conversion optimisation agency with no link to the app.

FAQ

What happened to Conversio?

CM Group, the parent company of Campaign Monitor, acquired Conversio in October 2019 and rebranded it as CM Commerce, an email automation tool for Shopify, WooCommerce and BigCommerce stores. CM Commerce kept Conversio's core features such as abandoned cart emails, receipts, segments and review requests. At launch, CM Commerce was priced at $9 a month for limited emails and $29 a month for unlimited emails.

Is CM Commerce still available?

It appears not. Archived copies of cm-commerce.com from May 2026 still show the CM Commerce homepage, pricing and sign up buttons. On 2026-09-14, cm-commerce.com returned a permanent redirect to the Campaign Monitor homepage, which does not mention CM Commerce. No public shutdown notice was found, so the exact end date is unknown. Existing users should contact Campaign Monitor support.

Is conversio.com the same company?

No. By July 2022 the conversio.com domain was used by Conversio Ltd, a conversion rate optimisation and analytics agency based at Somerset House in London. That agency offers testing, research and analytics services to ecommerce brands and has no connection to the old Conversio email app, which had moved to the CM Commerce name in 2019.

How much did Conversio cost?

In 2019 Conversio charged by the number of customers who had placed at least one order, not by emails sent. The smallest tier, up to 500 contacts, cost $20 a month or $200 a year, with two months free on yearly billing. Every tier included all features, including receipts, abandoned cart emails, follow-ups, newsletters, product reviews and feedback, with unlimited emails under a fair use limit.

How much did CM Commerce cost?

A May 2026 archive of the CM Commerce pricing page lists two plans that rise with list size. Starter cost $9 a month for up to 500 people and 5,000 emails, with abandoned cart emails, receipts, workflows and segments. Growth cost $29 a month with unlimited emails, browse abandonment, visual product reviews, feedback surveys, social proof widgets and Facebook audience sync. A free trial was offered.

How do I cancel Conversio or CM Commerce?

Neither service cancelled accounts automatically when you stopped logging in. CM Commerce asked users to cancel by contacting its support team, and Conversio asked users to email help@conversio.com from the admin email. Monthly payments were refundable only within 48 hours, and annual payments within 30 days. Also uninstall the app from your store, and contact Campaign Monitor about any remaining charges.

Which platforms did Conversio work with, and did it support eBay?

Conversio connected to Shopify, BigCommerce and WooCommerce stores, plus add-on apps such as Smile loyalty rewards, ViralSweep contests, Searchanise search, OrderlyEmails templates and Bold Cashier checkout. It was built for store owners' own websites and did not connect to eBay, Amazon or other marketplaces, so it could not send emails to eBay buyers.

What are some alternatives to Conversio?

Ecommerce email tools that cover receipts, abandoned carts and automated flows include Klaviyo, Omnisend, Mailchimp, Shopify Email and Campaign Monitor itself. Conversio's own site once compared itself with Mailchimp, Omnisend and Klaviyo. For product reviews, stores often add a separate review app such as Judge.me or Yotpo. Compare pricing by contacts, store integrations and review features.
