Zalando Partner Program
Sell on Zalando Partner Program. Best for fashion, shoe, sports and beauty brands that Zalando invites to sell directly to its European customers.
Quick facts
Seller fees
Since 1 January 2026 the fee structure has four parts: a base fee, a Marketplace Service fee (commission), a Payment Service fee and a Convenience Incentive. Zalando publishes the amounts only in its logged-in Partner University, so exact figures are not on a public page.

How to start selling
The Partner Program is invitation-only; Zalando says it only invites brands it expects its customers to love and does not accept direct applications. Invited partners need OSS or local VAT registration for each country and a return policy of at least 30 days. Some markets need an EU legal entity or specific logistics setups.
Seller questions
Not directly. Zalando states that it only invites brands it knows its customers will love and does not accept direct applications to the Partner Program. Invited partners then go through onboarding, which checks VAT registration, logistics, product labelling and extended producer responsibility (EPR) registrations for each country.
From 1 January 2026 partner fees consist of a base fee, a Marketplace Service fee, a Payment Service fee and a Convenience Incentive. Zalando explains each part in its Partner University, but the amounts are in articles that require a partner login. Advertising through Zalando Marketing Services is a separate optional cost.
Zalando lists 25 Partner Program markets, including Germany, France, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands, Poland, the Nordic countries, Switzerland and the United Kingdom. Some markets are only open with specific logistics setups, and Beauty is available in fewer markets. From 1 July 2026 zalando.ch also delivers to Liechtenstein and zalando.fr to Monaco.
Partners must provide either a One Stop Shop (OSS) VAT registration or a local VAT ID and certificate for every country they sell in. Switzerland needs a Swiss VAT ID for own fulfilment. Norway needs local VAT registration or use of Zalando's VOEC scheme for low-value items. Partners using Zalando Fulfillment Solutions need German VAT.
Zalando requires a minimum 30-day return policy in all countries. Some setups add rules, for example partners using Zalando Return Solutions Pure in Spain must provide a return address in Spain. Product labels and delivery documents must also be in the official language of each country.
Not in every case. Non-EU partners can operate in some countries, but with limits on logistics methods and product categories. For Denmark, Finland, Sweden and Norway an EU legal entity is required when using own fulfilment or selling Beauty products.
Requirements depend on country and product. All partners selling in Germany must register for packaging EPR. Battery registration is needed in most EU markets when products contain batteries. France requires EPR registration for electronics, textiles, toys and sports equipment, and Belgium and Spain have extra category registrations.
Zalando publishes Platform Rules that act as the legal reference for operating on the platform, plus a formal complaint process and a code of conduct. The complaint process is described in the Partner University article on making a formal complaint to Zalando.
