Quick facts
Seller fees
Private sellers pay no listing fee and no selling fee; the seller receives the full item price in their Vinted Balance. Buyers pay a mandatory Buyer Protection fee at checkout, usually a percentage of the item price plus a fixed amount (5% + $0.70 on vinted.com). When buying from Pro sellers, buyers pay a Buyer Protection Pro fee instead (UK: 3% to 8% plus £0.30 to £0.80 on orders under £500, and 3% on orders of £500 or more). Optional paid promotions such as Bumps are available. Vinted has no subscription or recurring charges.

How to start selling
Sign up on the Vinted app or website with email, Google, Facebook or Apple ID; you must be 18 or older. Activate your Vinted Balance by entering your legal name, nationality, date of birth and address, then upload your first listing. Businesses must register as Vinted Pro sellers instead of using a standard account.
Seller questions
Yes, for private sellers. Vinted charges no fee for uploading or selling items, and once a sale is completed you receive the full item price in your Vinted Balance. The buyer pays a Buyer Protection fee at checkout when using the Buy now button. Vinted has no subscriptions or recurring payments. Optional paid features like Bumps can promote listings.
An order is completed when the buyer presses Everything is OK, or 2 days after delivery if the buyer does not confirm or report an issue. Payment then moves from Pending balance to Available balance within 2 days. For Pro sellers, orders complete automatically 14 days after delivery because of the buyer's right of withdrawal.
Add your bank details, go to Vinted Balance and press Withdraw to bank account. Withdrawals can take up to 5 business days to arrive. You will be asked to set up biometric authentication or verify your phone number first. In the UK you can only withdraw in pounds sterling to a UK account, and one bank account cannot be used for several Vinted accounts.
Complete all active orders and withdraw your remaining funds first. Then go to Profile, Settings, Account settings, select Delete my account, tick the confirmation box and press Delete account. The account is deactivated immediately and hidden from others. You can ask support to restore it within 3 months. Permanently blocked accounts cannot be deleted or restored.
Temporary bans end automatically after 7 to 30 days depending on the reason, such as offensive behaviour, prohibited or counterfeit items, selling outside Vinted payments, or undeclared commercial selling. If you think the ban is a mistake, use the appeal link in the moderation message and include evidence. Permanently banned members can still log in to contact Vinted and, in most cases, withdraw earnings.
Buyers using Buy now can report an issue within 2 days of being told the item was delivered. Returns for items that are significantly not as described are covered by Buyer Protection. Items that do not fit or that the buyer dislikes can only be returned if the seller agrees, or if the seller is a Pro seller. The seller can offer a partial refund, a full refund or ask for a return.
Yes. Under the UK and EU platform reporting rules (DAC7), Vinted contacts sellers who make at least 30 sales or earn over €2,000 (about £1,700) in a calendar year and asks them to submit a pre-filled form. Vinted sends the data to the authorities in January. In the UK, selling personal items is generally not taxed unless one item sells for more than £6,000 at a profit.
For problems with an order, open the conversation with the buyer, press the information icon in the top right corner and choose Help. Select your issue from the list and press Contact us. For other topics, find the matching article in the Vinted Help Centre and use the contact button at the bottom of the article.
Only through Vinted Pro. Sole traders, non-profits and registered companies incorporated in the Netherlands, France, Italy, Luxembourg, Belgium, Portugal, Spain or the UK can sign up as Pro sellers. If Vinted detects commercial activity from a standard account, such as regular profit-making sales, many identical items or stock photos, it may hide listings or ban the account.
