Seller fees

How to start selling
No longer accepts sellers. Former Tradesy sellers were moved to Vestiaire Collective, and other common alternatives for designer resale are The RealReal, Poshmark and eBay.

No. Tradesy no longer runs as its own marketplace. Vestiaire Collective acquired Tradesy in 2022, and the Tradesy website and app were later shut down and pointed to Vestiaire Collective. Sellers cannot create new Tradesy listings. Anyone who wants to keep selling used designer fashion needs an account on Vestiaire Collective or another resale marketplace.
Vestiaire Collective announced the acquisition of Tradesy on March 15, 2022. Financial terms were not disclosed. The announcement said the combined company would have 23 million members, 5 million items and more than $1 billion in gross merchandise value, and that Tradesy founder Tracy DiNunzio would lead US operations for the combined business.
Tradesy closed as a result of the Vestiaire Collective acquisition rather than a stand-alone failure. The two teams were set to merge, and Vestiaire Collective used Tradesy to grow in the US, including a new authentication center in the Los Angeles area. Running one combined marketplace replaced the separate Tradesy site.
Tradesy listings were moved to Vestiaire Collective, where sellers could log in and reactivate them. Some listings were removed if they did not meet Vestiaire Collective's condition or photo rules. Seller credits were meant to transfer to the new account, though some sellers reported delays and had to contact support to get balances applied.
The direct successor is Vestiaire Collective, which took over Tradesy sellers and listings. Other marketplaces US sellers use for pre-owned designer and contemporary fashion include The RealReal, Poshmark, eBay and Mercari. Each has its own commission, authentication rules and shipping process, so compare the current fee pages before listing.
