Seller fees
US: no listing or monthly fee. Referral fee of 6% per order in most categories since April 1, 2024, calculated on customer payment plus platform discount, minus tax. Selected fine jewelry (diamond, gold, jade, platinum, ruby, sapphire, emerald) and pre-owned categories pay 5%, and collectibles and pre-owned sales pay 3% on the portion over $10,000. When an order is refunded, TikTok returns the referral fee minus a refund administration fee of 20% of the referral fee, capped at $5 per SKU. Affiliate creator commissions, shipping and ads are extra.

How to start selling
Sign up at the TikTok Shop Seller Center for your country with a phone number or email, choose an individual or business account, and submit ID and tax details (an SSN or EIN in the US). Add a bank account for settlements, set up shipping and returns addresses, and list products. You can then link a TikTok account or work with creators to sell through videos and LIVE.

In the US, TikTok Shop charges a referral fee of 6% per order in most categories, and there is no monthly or listing fee. Some jewelry and pre-owned categories pay 5%, and collectibles and pre-owned sales pay 3% on the part above $10,000. The fee is calculated on what the customer paid plus platform discounts, minus tax. Creator commissions and ads cost extra.
Mostly. When a refund, return or cancellation happens after an order is placed, TikTok Shop refunds the referral fee minus a refund administration fee. Since May 15, 2025 that fee is 20% of the referral fee, capped at $5 per SKU. No refund administration fee is charged on creator samples or on orders automatically canceled before shipment.
Orders settle after delivery, once there is no open refund or return request, and payouts go to the bank account in your Seller Center with a $1 minimum. Your settlement tier depends on shop performance and is reviewed monthly. TikTok describes an introductory period of 31 days after delivery for new sellers, a standard period of 8 days, and faster tiers for strong shops.
Add and verify a bank account in the Finance section of Seller Center. Settled order amounts, minus referral fees, affiliate commissions and any shipping or other charges, are transferred to that account. Some of each delivered order may be kept in a reserve for a period after delivery. You can download settlement reports from the Finance page to reconcile payouts.
Before closing, fulfill or cancel all open orders, wait for returns and refunds to finish, and let your remaining balance settle to your bank account. Then request account closure from the account settings area of Seller Center or through seller support. Closing the shop does not delete your personal TikTok account, which has its own delete option in the TikTok app.
TikTok Shop enforces its seller policies with violation points and a shop performance score. Late shipping, high cancellation or return rates, prohibited or counterfeit products, and misleading listings can lead to restricted features, withheld settlements or suspension. Seller Center shows each violation, and you can submit an appeal with evidence from the Account Health page.
Sign in to Seller Center and open the help or support icon to search Seller University articles, chat with an agent, or submit a ticket. Sellers with an assigned account manager can also contact that person. Include your shop ID, order IDs and screenshots so the support team can review the issue.
TikTok Shop issues Form 1099-K to US sellers who pass the IRS threshold, which is now more than $20,000 in gross payments and more than 200 transactions in a calendar year, with lower thresholds in some states. You submit tax details when you register. TikTok Shop also collects and remits sales tax in US states with marketplace facilitator laws.
