Seller questions

Is Sears Marketplace still open to sellers?

Yes. As of September 2026, the Sears Marketplace site still invites new sellers to sign up and says there are no long-term contracts. It is operated by Transform SR Brands LLC. The marketplace sells on Sears.com and is separate from Sears physical stores, most of which have closed in recent years.

How much does it cost to sell on Sears Marketplace?

Sears charges a $39.99 monthly program fee in each month you make $400 in gross sales, plus a commission on each sale. Most categories, including appliances, home, clothing, beauty, tools and toys, are 15%. Automotive is 12%, consumables 9%, gaming consoles 8%, seasonal 17% and jewelry 20%.

How are commission rates set on Sears Marketplace?

Commission depends on the category and subcategory of each item. The public program fees page lists a general rate for each category, and the detailed Item Class Commissions Table can be downloaded from inside the Seller Portal. Check the item class for each product before listing, because it decides the rate charged.

How does Sears charge the monthly fee?

By default, Sears takes the monthly program fee out of your next scheduled payment by electronic funds transfer instead of charging a card. Sellers who choose card billing need a US-based credit card, and American Express cards are not accepted. Invoices can be set to manual or automatic in Account Settings.

How do I close my Sears Marketplace seller account?

First resolve open customer service requests and complete all orders. Then, in the Seller Portal, click Contact Us and choose the topic Account Settings with the subtopic Close marketplace account. After cancellation you can still view past orders, but Sears may hold payments for 90 days or longer to settle what you owe.

How do I contact Sears Marketplace seller support?

Seller support runs through the Seller Support center at marketplace.sears.com, which has help articles on orders, payments, commissions and account settings. If an article does not answer the question, sellers can use the contact form, or the Contact Us link inside the Seller Portal, to open a request with the support team.

Who can sell on Sears Marketplace?

Sears Marketplace is aimed at businesses selling to US shoppers on Sears.com. Categories include appliances, automotive, home, tools, lawn and garden, clothing, jewelry and more. Billing by card requires a US-based credit card. Review the Sears Seller Agreement linked from the sign-up page for full eligibility and policy terms before applying.
