Quick facts
Seller fees
The marketplace is closing, so it is no longer an option for new sellers. Before the closure, commission depended on category and plan: about 12% to 21% on the Classic plan and 6% to 16% on the Absolute plan, plus handling fees from about EUR 0.15 to EUR 5 per item. These figures come from third-party guides because the official pricing page could not be read.

How to start selling
You can no longer open a useful seller account. All seller contracts end when sales stop on September 30, 2026 at 23:59. Existing sellers must ship their open orders and withdraw their Mangopay wallet balance before November 10, 2026.
Seller questions
Rakuten France, formerly PriceMinister, closes its website and app on September 30, 2026. Sellers can sell until 23:59 that day. After that, all seller contracts end, no new transactions are possible, and shops are no longer visible to buyers. Rakuten's teams stay available until November 30, 2026 to handle the last transactions.
Seller funds are held in an electronic wallet run by Mangopay, the payment partner, not by Rakuten itself. Rakuten asks sellers to request their payout before November 10, 2026 at 23:59. After that date, sellers must contact Mangopay directly. Finish any identity checks (KYC) early so the withdrawal is not blocked.
Yes. Sellers must fulfill orders placed before the closure. Refund and dispute procedures stay the same, and buyer protections still apply to those deliveries. French legal duties, such as the legal guarantee of conformity and liability for hidden defects, remain with the seller after the marketplace closes.
Rakuten France support teams stay in place until November 30, 2026. During that time they answer questions about recent transactions, disputes and returns, including buyer returns made within the 14-day return period. Order history stays available until November 10, 2026, so download the records you need for accounting before then.
It is not worth it. The marketplace stops all sales on September 30, 2026, and every seller contract ends on that date. Sellers who used Rakuten France should move their listings to other marketplaces that serve French buyers and tell repeat customers where to find them.
Before the closure, commission depended on the product category and the seller plan. Guides report about 12% to 21% on the Classic plan and 6% to 16% on the Absolute plan. A handling fee was added per item, from about EUR 0.15 for items under EUR 10 up to EUR 5 for items over EUR 400.
