Seller questions

What does it cost to sell on Kaufland?

You pay one monthly basic fee for all Kaufland marketplaces, EUR 39.95 for Basic or EUR 59.95 for Plus, plus VAT. Both include a EUR 30 monthly ad credit. On each sale you pay a category commission on the gross price including delivery: 7% to 16% in most countries and 4% to 12% on Kaufland.pl. There are no listing fees.

Can I cancel my Kaufland subscription?

Kaufland states that both the Basic and Plus plans can be cancelled at any time and that you can switch between plans monthly. The basic fee covers all Kaufland marketplaces, so there is no separate subscription per country. Sales commissions only apply to completed sales, so they stop once you no longer sell.

Which countries can I sell in with Kaufland Global Marketplace?

One registration gives access to nine marketplaces: Kaufland.de, Kaufland.at, Kaufland.cz, Kaufland.sk, Kaufland.pl, Kaufland.fr, Kaufland.it, Kaufland.es and Kaufland.nl. You choose which country channels to activate in the Seller Portal. Commission rates differ for Poland, which has lower rates than the other storefronts.

What documents do I need to register as a Kaufland seller?

Sole traders need an ID card or passport verified through IDnow and a trade licence. Companies and partnerships need ID copies for all representatives, a commercial register extract and proof of shareholdings. All sellers must be active traders, reachable by phone and email, avoid prohibited categories and list products with official EAN (GTIN) codes.

What are the returns rules for Kaufland sellers?

The default return period is 14 days and can be changed per marketplace in the Seller Portal. Sellers pay return costs when the product price is over EUR 40 (CZK 990); below that, customers can be charged up to EUR 5. Refunds start once you confirm receipt, and returns not processed within 3 working days are confirmed automatically.

What VAT registration does Kaufland require?

EU sellers can use the One-Stop Shop (OSS) and enter their OSS number, or register a VAT ID in each country they sell in. Non-EU sellers must complete tax registration and save a VAT ID for each sales channel. Kaufland.es requires every seller to have a valid Spanish VAT ID verified in the EU VIES system.

What extra rules apply to non-EU sellers on Kaufland?

Non-EU sellers need country-specific tax registration and a VAT ID for each sales channel. For CE-marked products made outside the EU, they must name an EU representative. They must also upload proof of delivery duty paid (DDP) imports in the Seller Portal.

How do I contact Kaufland seller support?

Kaufland Global Marketplace links sellers to a seller contact form on kaufland.de for support requests. Registered sellers can also use the Seller University, which has guides on registration, account settings, returns settings, tax registration and VAT ID validation. Kaufland says support is available in several languages for sellers on its marketplaces.
