Yes. Gumtree charges businesses a fee to post ads and to use promotions. The exact price is not published as a fixed list; business users get a quote during the ad creation process. Business accounts can save money through ad packages, and the terms for paid business services are disclosed when you sign up for them.
Gumtree offers optional paid upgrades across categories, such as Bump Up, which moves your ad back to the top, and Featured ads, which highlight it for a set period. Prices vary by category and are shown before checkout, so you never get an unexpected charge. Promotions are not required to post or sell.
For eligible ads, Gumtree uses Mangopay UK Limited to process payments. The buyer's payment is held in escrow until the release conditions are met, then paid to the seller. A Buyer Protection fee is added to each eligible transaction and covers non-delivery, items significantly not as described, and damage in transit.
Gumtree's terms of use direct users who want their data deleted to submit a request through the Contact Us form on the Gumtree help centre. Delete or close your live ads first so buyers stop contacting you. Formal legal notices to Gumtree must be sent by registered mail to Gumtree.com Limited in London.
You must be at least 18 years old and agree to follow Gumtree's terms of use. Gumtree.com is run by Gumtree.com Limited, a UK company, and the terms are governed by English law.
