Seller questions

How much does Fruugo charge sellers?

From 1 January 2026 Fruugo charges one flat fee of 20% on the price you set in your product data, including shipping and excluding sales tax. It covers commission, payment processing and marketing. There are no monthly or listing fees, and you receive 80% of your listed price in your currency whatever country the shopper is in.

When does Fruugo pay retailers?

Orders must clear a 14-day cooling-off period after delivery. Fruugo then pays cleared orders weekly, on Sundays, in your local currency by bank transfer, minus its fee. In practice this is about 4 weeks after shipment. A weekly statement is emailed to your registered address.

Who can sell on Fruugo?

Fruugo states that any business registered in one of its supported retailer countries can sell, subject to prohibited and restricted product rules. Retailers verify their business with Fruugo's compliance team during onboarding. Fruugo's documentation lists 39 countries retailers can sell from and 41 countries where shoppers can buy.

Who handles VAT and sales tax on Fruugo orders?

For import sales by non-domiciled retailers, Fruugo collects and remits VAT or sales tax in the UK and EU (orders up to GBP 135 or EUR 150), Australia, New Zealand, Norway (under NOK 3,000), Singapore, Switzerland and US states that require it. Retailers must put Fruugo's tax ID on customs paperwork and include the Fruugo invoice in the parcel.

Who pays for currency conversion on Fruugo?

Retailers set prices in their home currency and shoppers pay in their local currency. Under the pricing model in place since 1 January 2026, currency conversion and price differences between countries are at Fruugo's cost. The retailer receives the same payout, 80% of the listed price, for each sale regardless of where the customer is.

Am I liable for fraudulent chargebacks on Fruugo?

Fruugo says it absorbs chargebacks caused by fraud it did not detect, so retailers are not liable for those losses. However, if a customer asks Fruugo for a tax refund or refuses a parcel because it was not labelled correctly, Fruugo refunds the customer and passes the cost to the retailer.

How do I contact Fruugo retailer support?

Fruugo's Retailer Support documentation lists accounts@fruugo.com and account.management@fruugo.com for questions about payments, policies and accounts. New retailers also get a dedicated specialist during catalogue setup. The Retailer Support site covers account setup, the product feed, the Order API, retailer policies, pricing and taxation, and payments.
