Fnac Darty Marketplace

Professional sellers pay a fixed monthly subscription of EUR 49.99 excluding VAT for each marketplace, Fnac or Darty. On each order they also pay a commission that depends on the product category and price band. The rates for each category are shown to sellers during onboarding and in their account.

The commission is first calculated on the total order amount, including all taxes and shipping costs, at the rate for the product category and price band. For sellers subject to French VAT, 20% VAT is then added to the commission itself. The help article on the seller site includes a worked example of the calculation.

Onboarding has five steps: submit the registration form, pass KYC validation by uploading documents, configure the account, get support from Fnac Darty experts during integration, then go live. After the form is validated, the Fnac Darty team contacts you to guide the account opening.

KYC verifies the seller's identity to meet anti-corruption, anti-fraud and anti-money-laundering rules. Opening a payment account with BNP Paribas is part of access to the marketplace, and without it you cannot use the Fnac Darty marketplace service. Different KYC tutorials apply to sole traders and to companies above or below EUR 7.5 million in revenue.

The seller site presents France as the main market, with international sales in Belgium, Spain and Portugal. The marketplace has more than 3,000 active sellers. Tech products make up 46% of its product mix, household appliances 21% and editorial products such as books and media 17%, with other categories making up the rest.
