No sign-up, subscription or account management fees. Commission of 7% to 25% of each sale depending on the category, set out in the seller contract and deducted from sales proceeds. Optional costs: Fulfillment by eMAG (storage fee plus processing fee per unit that depends on size and weight), eMAG Ads (pay-per-click), and a Genius easybox contribution of RON 2 plus VAT per completed Genius order.

How to start selling
Register through the eMAG Marketplace onboarding portal with company details, bank details and company documents (PDF, JPG or PNG, max 2 MB each), then choose up to 5 product categories. Romanian legal forms SRL, SA and PFA are all accepted. Registered sellers can then switch on cross-border selling to Bulgaria and Hungary.
Seller questions
Signing up, managing the account and customer support cost nothing, and there is no subscription. You pay only a commission when a product sells, between 7% and 25% depending on the category. The exact rate for each category is in your Marketplace contract, which you see before signing.
eMAG pays sellers twice a month, with commission deducted automatically. Sales from the 1st to the 15th are paid by the 17th, and sales from the 16th to the end of the month are paid by the 3rd of the next month. Payment breakdowns and invoices are in the Financial menu of the seller account.
The onboarding form asks for general company information, bank details and company documents, uploaded as PDF, JPG, JPEG or PNG files up to 2 MB each. You select up to 5 product categories and fill in operational details. All company forms are accepted, including SRL, SA and PFA, and you do not need a final product list to register.
Yes. Through the Cross-Border program, sellers manage stock and prices from one account for Romania, Hungary and Bulgaria. Listings are translated automatically at no cost, prices convert to local currencies, and commissions stay the same in every country. eMAG provides local-language customer support and integrated international courier services.
eMAG notes that sellers must register for VAT in the destination country once their remote sales to consumers in other EU countries go over EUR 10,000 a year. It recommends the EU One Stop Shop (OSS) portal to declare VAT for several countries in one place.
With FBE, eMAG stores your stock and handles packing, delivery and collecting customer returns. Storage is free for the first 30 days after each restock, then a fee applies based on how long stock has been stored. A processing fee per unit depends on product size and weight, and eMAG offers a cost simulator.
Sellers whose products are delivered through the Genius easybox program pay a contribution of RON 2 plus VAT for each completed order, a rule in place since 13 September 2023. Express delivery is not required to take part, and eMAG says returns on these items are refunded quickly.
