Trengo is a customer engagement platform that puts WhatsApp, email, live chat, Instagram, Facebook and voice conversations into one shared inbox for teams.
Trengo is a customer engagement platform that puts WhatsApp, email, live chat, Instagram, Facebook and voice conversations into one shared inbox for teams. It adds AI automation, chatbots, rules, shared contact profiles and reporting, and is popular with European businesses that use WhatsApp for customer service and sales. For ecommerce, Trengo connects to Shopify and WooCommerce so agents can see customer orders inside conversations. Plans are sold per month with a set number of users and a conversation allowance, and AI-handled conversations can carry extra charges. Trengo does not list an eBay or Amazon integration, so marketplace buyer messages are not pulled into its inbox and eBay sellers would need another helpdesk for those.
Key features
- Shared inbox for WhatsApp, email, chat, social and voice
- AI agents and automation rules
- Shopify and WooCommerce order data in conversations
- WhatsApp Business API broadcasting
- Team reporting and conversation analytics
FAQ
Trengo sells Boost, Pro and Enterprise plans based on users and conversations. 2026 pricing guides list Boost at 299 EUR per month on annual billing for 10 users and Pro at 499 EUR per month on annual billing for 20 users, with higher month-to-month prices. Enterprise is quoted. AI-handled conversations can add per-conversation charges.
Yes. Trengo offers a free trial, and its help center says you will not lose any work done during the trial when you upgrade to Boost, Pro or Enterprise. To start a paid subscription you need an administrator account. Annual billing can save up to 20% compared with paying monthly.
An administrator goes to Settings, opens Subscription settings and clicks Cancel subscription in the bottom left. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, so annual plans run until the end of the contract year. You should receive a confirmation email from Trengo once it is processed.
Trengo does not list an eBay or Amazon integration. Its ecommerce connections focus on Shopify and WooCommerce, and its channels include WhatsApp, email, live chat, Instagram, Facebook and voice. eBay buyer messages stay in eBay, so eBay sellers usually add a marketplace helpdesk that imports those messages.
Yes. Trengo lets administrators downgrade to any plan at any time from Subscription settings by choosing a new plan and clicking Update subscription. Downgrading may restrict access to some features and channels. To add new add-ons to your subscription, you need to contact your customer success manager.
Trengo has a help center at help.trengo.com with guides on plans, channels and integrations, and support can be contacted from inside the Trengo app. Paid customers on larger plans work with a customer success manager, who also handles add-on changes. Sales demos can be booked from the Trengo website.
Alternatives include Zendesk, Freshdesk, Gorgias, Re:amaze, Richpanel, Front and WhatsApp-focused tools such as Respond.io and Chatarmin. For sellers on eBay and Amazon, helpdesks built for marketplaces, such as eDesk, ChannelReply or the 3Dsellers helpdesk, import marketplace messages that Trengo does not.
