FAQ
Square acquired Stitch Labs and announced the deal on July 10, 2020. Square said it would sunset Stitch Labs products so the team could focus on building out Square tools. Stitch Labs stopped taking new customers right away, and its products kept running for existing customers until spring 2021 to give them time to move to another platform. The Stitch Labs team joined Square's seller organization.
No. Stitch Labs is shut down. Square said the products would continue to operate for existing customers only until spring 2021, and no new customers were accepted after the acquisition was announced in July 2020. The software cannot be bought or used today, and sellers who relied on it for inventory and order management have had to move to other systems.
There was no direct replacement product. Square said it would work with customers so they had the resources and options needed to transition, and it offered help moving to Square for those who wanted it. Shiptheory noted at the time that Square's tools did not match a full inventory and order management system, so many users with multichannel needs moved to dedicated inventory platforms.
Stitch Labs stopped accepting new customers on July 10, 2020, the day Square announced the acquisition. Existing customers could keep using the products until spring 2021, with the same pricing and feature set during the transition, according to Shiptheory. Some later sources give June 2021 as the final month, but Square's own announcement only says spring 2021.
Probably not. The platform stopped operating for existing customers after spring 2021, so data exports had to be done before then. Square said it would work with customers to give them the resources and options they needed to move off the platform. If you did not export products, orders and inventory history in time, look for old CSV exports, your sales channel records and your accounting software.
Shiptheory's shutdown article listed Cin7, Unleashed Software, TradeGecko and Brightpearl as options for former Stitch Labs users. TradeGecko was bought by Intuit in September 2020, so check whether it is still sold before considering it. Other inventory tools sellers use include Zoho Inventory and Linnworks. eBay sellers who mainly need listing and inventory sync across eBay and other channels may also consider 3Dsellers.
Stitch Labs was acquired by Square, the payments company that is now part of Block, Inc. The deal was announced on July 10, 2020. The Stitch Labs team joined Square's seller organization to work on inventory management, order fulfillment and channel management for Square sellers, rather than keeping Stitch Labs running as a separate product. The stitchlabs.com software is no longer offered.
No. Square said Stitch Labs products would only keep operating for existing customers until spring 2021, so there is no active Stitch Labs subscription to cancel today. If you still see an old recurring charge from Stitch Labs on a card or bank statement, contact your bank or card issuer to dispute it and stop future payments.
