Oberlo was a Shopify-owned dropshipping app that let Shopify store owners import products from AliExpress, edit them, and send orders to suppliers. Shopify announced the shutdown on May 11, 2022, removed the app from the Shopify App Store, and set June 15, 2022 as the closing date, later reported as extended to the end of June. Shopify named DSers as the recommended replacement and offered a migration path for products, orders and settings. The oberlo.com domain still exists, but it now hosts dropshipping articles, a podcast and free tools such as a profit margin calculator and a business name generator. Oberlo only worked with Shopify stores and AliExpress suppliers. It did not connect to eBay or Amazon.

FAQ
No. Shopify announced on May 11, 2022 that it was sunsetting the Oberlo app, removed it from the Shopify App Store the next day, and closed it in June 2022. The oberlo.com domain is still online, but it is now a content site with dropshipping articles, a podcast and free business tools. You cannot sign up for or log in to the old Oberlo app.
Shopify said it was changing how it supports dropshipping and moving merchants to a solution built by a partner, DSers. Its statement said Oberlo would be sunset on June 15, 2022. Reports at the time put the number of affected businesses at over 12,600 and noted the short migration window. Shopify did not describe Oberlo as sold; it closed the app and recommended DSers.
Shopify recommended DSers as the official replacement for Oberlo. DSers announced a partnership with Oberlo in May 2022 and offered a migration tool that moved Oberlo settings, products, orders and the import list into DSers. After migration, the inventory location of those products in Shopify changed from Oberlo to DSers. Other apps also marketed themselves to former Oberlo users at the time.
Not anymore. Reports on the shutdown say Oberlo accounts and data were deleted after the closing date. Before that, users could export orders manually from the Oberlo Orders page or move products and orders to DSers with the migration tool. Products that had already been published to a Shopify store stayed in that store, since they lived in Shopify rather than in Oberlo.
Oberlo no longer charges anything because the app is closed. The current oberlo.com site is free to use and offers articles and tools such as a profit margin calculator and business name generator. Oberlo no longer shows its old paid plan prices. Check an archived copy of the old pricing page if you need exact historical figures.
No. Oberlo was built only for Shopify stores and sourced products from AliExpress suppliers. It did not list products on eBay or Amazon and did not sync orders from those marketplaces. Sellers who wanted to dropship on eBay or Amazon used other tools. Today, anyone looking for similar functions needs a current dropshipping app, since Oberlo itself is closed.
DSers was Shopify's recommended replacement and still imports AliExpress products into Shopify. Other dropshipping apps often compared with Oberlo include Spocket, AutoDS, Zendrop, CJdropshipping and Dropified. They differ in supplier networks, shipping times and pricing, so compare them against the platforms you sell on. For eBay or Amazon dropshipping, check that the tool supports those marketplaces, since many are Shopify-only.
There is no active Oberlo app support team, because the product closed in 2022. Questions about past Shopify app charges go to Shopify Support from your Shopify admin. The current oberlo.com site is run as a Shopify content property and only covers its articles and free tools. If you migrated to DSers, contact DSers support about migrated products and orders.
