It recommends macOS 11 Big Sur or later and works with eBay sites in 20 countries, including the USA, UK, Germany, Australia and Canada. You can download a free trial before buying. It runs only on Mac, so it does not replace GarageSale Touch on iPhone or iPad.
iwascoding lists three ways to pay for GarageSale for Mac, all in US dollars: a monthly subscription at $14.99, a single-user license at $39.99, or a family license at $65.99. A free trial download is available so you can test it with your eBay account first. The GarageSale Pro subscription adds syncing of items across multiple Macs.
iwascoding has not published an export or migration path for GarageSale Touch data. When the app was available, it could share items to the Mac app using a 4-digit code, but users found it clunky, and in October 2016 the developer said GarageSale 7 no longer supported that old-style sharing. Today, GarageSale syncing works only between Macs with a GarageSale Pro subscription.
There is no sign it will return. In November 2017 the developer mentioned a vague plan to bring an iOS app back once syncing was added to GarageSale, but only for people subscribed to the syncing service. GarageSale later added syncing across Macs through GarageSale Pro, yet the GarageSale Touch page still says the app is no longer available and no new iOS listing app has been announced.
Mac users can switch to GarageSale for Mac, which iwascoding recommends. In the 2017 forum thread about the shutdown, users mentioned Auctiva's one-page lister for basic eBay listings. For mobile use, the official eBay app handles listing on the go and now includes eBay's free Product Research tool. Browser-based eBay listing and inventory tools, such as 3Dsellers, work on any device with a web browser.
iwascoding offers GarageSale support through a Contact Support via Mail link on its support page and a user forum at help.iwascoding.com. The support page also has a Lost your License? tool, where you enter the email address used for your original order to get your license again. GarageSale Touch itself is no longer supported, so questions about it are best posted in the forum.
