FAQ
Sellware has been renamed. The sellware.com homepage now says Sellware is now Fishbowl Channels, described as an all-in-one operations solution for inventory and multichannel sales. The page offers a demo booking and a Log in to Sellware (Legacy) link for existing users. The footer credits Fishbowl Inventory. The page does not say when the new name was adopted.
Fishbowl Inventory, a portfolio company of Diversis Capital, announced on February 3, 2023 that it had acquired Sellware. Sellware was founded in 2004 and provided inventory, order management and marketplace listing software. At the time, Fishbowl said current Sellware users could expect no changes in day-to-day use, and that Sellware would remain an open API platform.
Yes. Fishbowl's Commerce Suite FAQ says the integration supports eBay in the US and internationally, along with Amazon (US and international), Walmart (US and Canada), Newegg (US and Canada) and Best Buy Canada. Supported shopping carts are Shopify Plus, Shopify, BigCommerce and WooCommerce. Fishbowl says product details, pricing and images sync automatically across all connected channels.
Fishbowl does not publish a separate price for Fishbowl Channels. On its pricing page, multichannel ecommerce selling is part of Fishbowl Inventory Growth at $429 USD per month billed annually with 5 users, and Scale at $729 per month billed annually with 10 users. Fishbowl says prices are illustrative and may change, and most sales start with a demo.
The older Fishbowl Sellware Marketplace app on the Shopify App Store lists an Order Manager plan at $250 USD per month with a 30-day free trial, billed every 30 days. The listing is for the older Sellware app, and one 2024 review says Shopify showed it as unsupported, so confirm with Fishbowl whether this plan and trial are still offered.
The archived Fishbowl Commerce terms say the subscription runs on a rolling month to month basis unless your agreement says otherwise. Notices must be in writing, and emails count if the subject line includes NOTICE or LEGAL NOTICE and delivery is confirmed. The terms also say your account data stays yours and can be exported as needed, so export it first.
Yes. The sellware.com homepage has a Log in to Sellware (Legacy) button that leads to the existing Sellware app, so current customers can keep using their accounts under the new Fishbowl Channels name. The same page offers a Book a demo button for new customers. No shutdown date for the legacy login is given on the page.
Fishbowl customers get support through MyFishbowl, where you sign in to Fishbowl Communities to open support requests and get product documentation and software downloads. Fishbowl also lists implementation and support services, and new customers can book a demo from any page of the Fishbowl website to talk with the sales team about ecommerce needs.
Other multichannel listing and inventory tools that support eBay include Linnworks, Sellbrite, Rithum (formerly ChannelAdvisor), Zentail, Sellercloud and 3Dsellers. Linnworks and Sellercloud suit larger multichannel operations, Sellbrite is simpler and aimed at smaller sellers, and 3Dsellers focuses on eBay listing, orders and messaging with other channels added. Fishbowl Channels fits best if you already use Fishbowl inventory.
