ChannelApe was an inventory operations platform for retail brands, based in New York. It pulled stock data from sales channels, warehouses, retail stores, returns and inbound shipments into one view, so brands could avoid overselling. It handled presales and inventory reserves with start and end dates, bundles, fulfillment rules and holds, routing across several 3PL warehouses, wholesale and big-box orders over X12 EDI, dashboards and alerts, and data exports to email, Slack, Google Sheets, Amazon S3 and Fivetran. Pricing was per shipment with monthly minimums. Shopify announced it was acquiring ChannelApe on July 19, 2024. ChannelApe stopped accepting new customers and said the platform would be sunset in summer 2025. We could not confirm whether it ever connected to eBay.

FAQ

What happened to ChannelApe?

Shopify acquired ChannelApe. In a blog post dated July 19, 2024, co-founder and CEO Michael Averto announced the deal, said ChannelApe would no longer take on new customers, and said the platform would be sunset in summer 2025. The company's homepage still shows a notice that it is no longer accepting new customers. The deal price was not disclosed.

Can I still sign up for ChannelApe?

No. The ChannelApe homepage says it is no longer accepting new customers, and the acquisition post says the platform was planned to be sunset in summer 2025. On 2026-09-14 the app login address did not resolve, which suggests the platform is no longer running. Brands that need inventory and fulfillment operations software need to choose a different platform.

How much did ChannelApe cost?

ChannelApe charged per shipment with a monthly minimum. Its last pricing page listed Standard from $0.07 per shipment with a $400 minimum, Gold from $0.12 with a $750 minimum, Platinum from $0.19 with a $1,500 minimum and 2 to 5 warehouses, and Enterprise from $0.24 with a $3,000 minimum. All plans had unlimited users, and volume discounts were offered.

How do I get my data out of ChannelApe?

ChannelApe's site advertised monitoring and export options to email, Slack, Google Sheets, Amazon S3 and Fivetran, plus dozens of API endpoints. Those were the ways to move data out while the platform ran. After the planned summer 2025 sunset, no public export steps were found. Former customers should contact ChannelApe support through the Support link on its site.

Did ChannelApe work with eBay?

We could not confirm this. ChannelApe's site talks about sales channels, marketplaces, wholesale over X12 EDI, retail stores and 3PL warehouses, but the pages we could load do not name eBay. It was built mainly for direct-to-consumer brands selling through Shopify and wholesale partners. Since the platform has been sunset, eBay sellers need another inventory tool either way.

What are some alternatives to ChannelApe?

Brands that used ChannelApe for inventory, fulfillment routing and EDI can look at Cin7, Linnworks, Brightpearl, Extensiv and Endless Commerce. Cin7 and Brightpearl add ERP-style features, Linnworks covers multichannel orders and inventory including eBay and Amazon, and Extensiv focuses on 3PL warehouses. Endless Commerce publishes a ChannelApe comparison page. Shopify-only brands may find Shopify's own inventory tools enough.
