Boxify is a Shopify app that shows accurate carrier shipping rates at checkout by working out which boxes an order will ship in. You enter product dimensions and your box sizes, and Boxify packs each cart into the smallest box or set of boxes, then gets live rates from UPS, FedEx, USPS, DHL Express or Canada Post based on dimensional weight. It also shows packers a diagram of how to pack each order and adds the recommended box to the order notes. Rates can be marked up or discounted by zone or carrier. It is made by Boomerang Digital LLC of Carrboro, North Carolina, and has been on the Shopify App Store since 2015. It works only with Shopify, does not handle freight, and does not connect to eBay.

FAQ

How much does Boxify cost?

Boxify plans are priced by shipping calculations per month. Starter is $19 for 250, Standard $39 for 750, Professional $69 for 1,500 and Enterprise $99 for 3,000. The Boxify website lists bigger tiers too, from $149 for 5,000 up to $699 for 100,000 calculations. All charges are in USD and billed through Shopify every 30 days. Prices were checked on 2026-09-14.

Is there a free trial of Boxify?

Yes. Boxify offers a 15-day free trial that includes up to 1,000 shipping calculations. You install the app from the Shopify App Store to start the trial, then follow the Quickstart setup in the app's Help section. To keep using Boxify after the trial, you choose a monthly paid plan from the Compare Boxify Plans button on the Boxify dashboard.

What counts as a Boxify shipping calculation?

A shipping calculation is each time a customer asks for a shipping quote at checkout and Boxify is queried. It is not the same as an order, because a shopper may get a quote and not buy. Shopify caches rates for a short time, so repeat requests with the same address and cart count once. The dashboard shows usage, and Boxify emails you as you near your limit.

Which carriers and platforms does Boxify work with, and does it support eBay?

Boxify works only inside Shopify stores. It gets live rates from UPS, FedEx, USPS, Canada Post and DHL Express, and it does not support other carriers or freight shipments. It does not connect to eBay, Amazon or other marketplaces, so it cannot set shipping costs on eBay listings. It replaces Shopify's own carrier-calculated rates, which assume one default box size.

How do I cancel Boxify?

Boxify is billed through Shopify, so you cancel by uninstalling it. In your Shopify admin go to Settings, then Apps, click the menu next to Boxify, choose Uninstall and confirm. Shopify says this cancels future recurring charges, but you may still be billed for the current cycle. Save any box and product settings you need before removing the app.

How do I contact Boxify support?

Boxify lists support@boxifyapp.com and the phone number (919) 590-3604 on its website. The app is supported by Boomerang Digital LLC in Carrboro, North Carolina. There is also a Boxify knowledge base with articles and tutorial videos for each carrier, including how Boxify picks a box and how to set product dimensions in bulk. Shopify reviewers often mention quick email replies.

Can I mark up shipping rates or change plans in Boxify?

Yes. You can discount or mark up Boxify rates for each shipping zone, and also set adjustments per carrier. A Preferences setting can add a percentage of cart value to help cover insurance. Plans can be upgraded during busy periods and downgraded when volume drops. Pack Mode and Keep Vertical settings handle items that ship in their own box or must stay upright.

What are some alternatives to Boxify?

Other Shopify shipping rate apps include Intuitive Shipping, ShipperHQ and Bespoke Shipping, and Shopify's own carrier-calculated shipping works if you use one box size. ShipperHQ and Intuitive Shipping also offer dimensional packing rules. Compare how each app handles multiple boxes, which carriers it supports, and whether pricing is based on rate requests or orders.
