Auction Nudge

Auction Nudge is a free service that lets eBay sellers show their active eBay listings on their own website.

Auction Nudge is a free service that lets eBay sellers show their active eBay listings on their own website. The seller enters an eBay username and eBay site, picks display options and pastes the generated code into a page, or uses the WordPress plugin as a block or shortcode. Visitors can browse, search and filter the items, and each item links back to eBay. Auction Nudge is run by its creator, Joe Hawes, has operated since 2008 and is an approved eBay Compatible Application. It is funded through eBay Partner Network referral commissions, so it shows an advertising disclosure. Its separate profile, feedback and ads tools have been retired, and the listings tool remains.

FAQ

Is Auction Nudge free?

Yes. Auction Nudge is completely free, needs no registration and has no paid tiers or pay to unlock features. It stays free through the eBay Partner Network: when a visitor clicks through to eBay and a purchase follows, Auction Nudge may receive a referral commission from eBay at no cost to the seller or buyer. Because of this, its advertising disclosure must stay visible.

Is Auction Nudge still working, and what happened to the profile and feedback widgets?

Auction Nudge still works for showing eBay listings. In October 2024 it retired the Your eBay Profile and Your eBay Feedback tools because eBay scheduled their data source for decommissioning in February 2025, and the Your eBay Ads tool had been retired earlier. The Your eBay Listings tool was moved to eBay's Browse API, is still supported and received plugin updates in 2026.

How do I add Auction Nudge to a WordPress site?

Install and activate the Auction Nudge plugin, then go to Settings > Auction Nudge to set your default eBay username and eBay site. Add the Your eBay Listings block to a page and adjust its options, or use a shortcode such as [auction-nudge sellerid="ebay_username"]. The settings page also has a Shortcode Generator for options like language, items per page and the search box.

Why are my eBay items not showing in Auction Nudge?

The most common cause is an ad blocking browser extension, which can stop Auction Nudge from loading, so disable it or add an exception and reload the page. Also check that you entered your eBay username rather than your Store ID, and chose the right eBay site. Item data is refreshed periodically, so new or ended listings can take a short time to update.

Which eBay sites does Auction Nudge support?

Auction Nudge supports 14 eBay sites: US, UK, Canada, Australia, Belgium, Germany, France, Spain, Austria, Italy, Netherlands, Ireland, Switzerland and Poland. The listings can be displayed in English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Polish or Dutch, and items can be sorted by ending soonest, newly listed, price plus shipping or best match.

How do I contact Auction Nudge support?

Auction Nudge is run by its creator, Joe, who says he can currently only provide support for errors and bugs. Questions about setup or customization are covered by the Help pages on installation, options and troubleshooting. If those do not solve an error, use the Report an Issue page on auctionnudge.com. WordPress plugin bugs can also be reported on the plugin's wordpress.org support forum.

Can I remove the advertising disclosure from Auction Nudge?

No. Because Auction Nudge is funded through the eBay Partner Network, showing its advertising disclosure is a condition of using the service. Auction Nudge states that sites which hide the disclosure can be permanently blocked. You can still change how the rest of the widget looks with CSS and add behaviour with JavaScript, using the markup documented on the Auction Nudge site.

Is Auction Nudge owned by eBay?

No. Auction Nudge is not owned or operated by eBay Inc. It is an independent tool made by Joe Hawes, a former professional eBay seller, and it has been running since 2008. It is an approved eBay Compatible Application and a member of the eBay Partner Network, which is how it can display eBay listing data and earn referral commissions.

What are some alternatives to Auction Nudge?

Other ways to show eBay items on a WordPress site include plugins such as WP eBay Product Feeds and Fast eBay Listings in the WordPress plugin directory. Sellers who want a full online store connected to eBay, rather than a display widget, often use a WooCommerce integration such as WP-Lister Lite for eBay, which lists store products on eBay from WordPress.
