Why this happens

The package type on the listing (for example Letter, Large Envelope, Package, Large Package) is missing or is not one of the package types eBay accepts for the listing site and shipping service. Why eBay enforces this: The package type tells the carrier how the parcel is handled and priced, for example letter, large envelope or package. eBay only accepts package types it knows for the site and shipping service. When it usually happens: It usually appears on listings imported from other marketplaces whose package names do not exist on eBay.

Example Wrong Settings

Package type is empty, or set to a value copied from another marketplace.

How to fix it

  1. In 3Dsellers, open the listing's package settings.
  2. Choose one of eBay's package types, usually "Package/thick envelope" or "Large package".
  3. Publish again.

How to prevent it

Set a default eBay package type on each account, and map package values from other channels to eBay's names during import.
