The package weight is not valid or is missing. Provide a valid number for the weight.

The package weight is missing or not a valid number. Enter a positive weight and republish.

Why this happens

1) The listing is missing a package weight or— 2) eBay is rejecting the package weight value. Why eBay enforces this: eBay needs a real package weight to calculate postage and delivery options. A missing, zero or non-numeric weight makes calculated shipping impossible, so eBay refuses the listing. When it usually happens: It usually appears on products imported without weight, or where the weight column contains units such as '2kg'.

Example Wrong Settings

Package weight is empty, or imported as '2 kg'.

How to fix it

  1. In 3Dsellers, open the listing's package settings and enter a weight greater than zero.
  2. Use plain numbers (for example 1.5), no units or letters in the field.
  3. For CSV imports, check the weight column for empty cells, commas as decimal separators, or text.
  4. Publish again.

How to prevent it

Set a default package weight per product type, and keep weight columns numeric in CSV files.

Example Correct Settings

Package weight is 2 with the unit set to kilograms in the package settings.
