Why this happens

You are acting on a listing, but the software you are using has a different eBay account active. Why eBay enforces this: eBay ties every listing to one seller account and only that account may change it. A request made with another account's authorization is refused, even if both accounts belong to the same business. When it usually happens: It appears when one 3Dsellers workspace connects several eBay accounts and a listing is revised through the wrong one, or after an account was reconnected under a different eBay user. On eBay's local sites this error reads as follows. French: Vous n'ĂȘtes pas le vendeur de cet objet. Seuls les vendeurs sont autorisĂ©s Ă  modifier les informations sur l'objet. Italian: Non sei il venditore di questo oggetto. Soltanto ai venditori Ăš consentito modificare le informazioni sull'oggetto.

Example Wrong Settings

Listing owned by eBay user store_a is revised while 3Dsellers is using the connection for store_b.

How to fix it

  1. In 3Dsellers, check which eBay account is selected and which account the listing belongs to.
  2. Switch to the owning account (or reassign the listing) and retry.
  3. If the listing was imported into the wrong account, delete it there and import it under the correct one.

How to prevent it

Name each connected eBay account clearly in 3Dsellers, and check the account selector before running bulk actions across several stores.

The listing is assigned to store_a in 3Dsellers and revised through that account's connection.
