The value for Size (or another specific) is not in eBay's allowed list for this category. Choose a listed value.

Why this happens

eBay now enforces a fixed list of allowed values for some item specifics (for example Size in clothing categories). The value in the listing is not on that list, so eBay rejects it. Why eBay enforces this: Some specifics now only accept values from eBay's list, so filters stay consistent. Other values are refused. When it usually happens: It is common on apparel listings with supplier sizes such as 00/24 or 12-14. On eBay's local sites this error reads as follows. German: „
“ ist kein gĂŒltiger Wert fĂŒr GrĂ¶ĂŸe. WĂ€hlen Sie einen Wert aus den verfĂŒgbaren Optionen aus. Geben Sie einen gĂŒltigen Wert fĂŒr GrĂ¶ĂŸe ein.

Example Wrong Settings

Size is set to "00/24" or "36S" while eBay's list for the category only has values such as "XS", "S", "M", "L".

How to fix it

  1. In 3Dsellers, open the listing's Item Specifics, click the field named in the error and pick one of the values eBay suggests.
  2. For many listings, add a mapping rule that converts your values to eBay's accepted ones.
  3. Publish again.

How to prevent it

Map supplier size values to eBay's list before publishing.
