Why this happens

eBay is standardizing the Size item specific in clothing and shoe categories. Custom size values are being rejected (fully enforced from July 2026); only eBay's standard size values are accepted. Why eBay enforces this: eBay is standardizing size values in clothing and shoes so buyers can filter consistently. Custom sizes are being phased out. When it usually happens: It appears on apparel listings with custom sizes such as 36S or EU 40/41.

Example Wrong Settings

Size is set to a custom value such as "36S" or "EU 40/41".

How to fix it

  1. In 3Dsellers, open the listing's Item Specifics and choose Size from eBay's list for the category.
  2. For many listings, use a mapping rule or bulk edit to convert your sizes to eBay's standard values.
  3. Publish again.

How to prevent it

Map your size values to eBay's standard list with mapping rules.

Example Correct Settings

Size is set to "M" or "EU 40" as offered in eBay's list.
