eBay removed the listing for a policy violation. Fix the content and create a new listing; the removed one cannot be revised.

Why this happens

eBay removed the listing because its title, description, images or category violate one of eBay's policies (the message names the policy, for example Compromising Minor, Vehicle Parts or Prohibited Items). Revisions to a removed listing are rejected. Why eBay enforces this: eBay removes listings that break policies, such as unsafe vehicle parts, prohibited items or content involving minors. Removed listings cannot be revised. When it usually happens: It usually appears on auto parts (for example airbags) or restricted product types after eBay's automated review. On eBay's local sites this error reads as follows. German: Dieses Angebot wurde wegen eines Verstoßes gegen Grundsatz zu Fahrzeugteilen entfernt.

Example Wrong Settings

A listing was flagged by eBay's policy filters and taken down; an automatic update then tries to revise it.

How to fix it

  1. Open the policy notice in eBay Messages to see which policy was violated.
  2. In 3Dsellers, fix the title, description, images or category accordingly.
  3. Create a new listing and publish it. Remove the ended listing from inventory sync and automations so they stop retrying.
  4. If you believe the removal is wrong, appeal through the link in eBay's message.

Review eBay's prohibited and restricted items policy for your categories before listing new product types.
