Why this happens

The category (for example vehicles or heavy equipment) requires an offline payment method, and the payment policy has none selected. Why eBay enforces this: Some categories, such as vehicles and heavy equipment, require offline payment options because buyers pay at pickup or by bank transfer. When it usually happens: It usually appears when a standard payment policy is used in eBay Motors vehicle categories.

Example Wrong Settings

A vehicle is listed with a standard payment policy that has no offline payment methods.

How to fix it

  1. Edit the payment policy in eBay Seller Hub (or create one for vehicles and similar categories) and enable an offline method such as cash on pickup or bank transfer.
  2. Refresh policies in 3Dsellers and assign the policy to the listing.
  3. Publish again.

How to prevent it

Keep a dedicated payment policy for vehicle and equipment categories.
