Why this happens

eBay has restricted the listing and is not allowing changes at this time. Why eBay enforces this: When eBay restricts a listing, for example during a policy or catalog review, it blocks changes to the catalog preference until the review ends. When it usually happens: It usually appears on listings linked to eBay catalog products that are under review.

Example Wrong Settings

Include eBay Product Details switched off on a listing under catalog review.

How to fix it

  1. Check the listing in eBay Seller Hub for a restriction notice (policy review, catalog lock).
  2. If the listing is otherwise fine, leave the catalog preference unchanged and republish only the other fields.
  3. If the preference must change, end the listing and relist it from 3Dsellers with the new setting.

How to prevent it

Decide whether to use eBay catalog details before the first publish.
