The listing has more than eBay's maximum of 45 item specifics. Remove the extras and republish.

Why this happens

eBay allows a maximum of 45 item specifics per listing. The listing has more, usually because custom attributes or imported product fields were all mapped as item specifics. On eBay's local sites this error reads as follows. German: Dieses Angebot enthält zu viele Artikelmerkmale. Reduzieren Sie die Anzahl der Artikelmerkmale auf 45 oder weniger und versuchen Sie es noch einmal. French: Cette annonce comporte un trop grand nombre de caractéristiques de l'objet. Réduisez le nombre de caractéristiques de l'objet à 45 ou moins, puis réessayez. Italian: L'inserzione contiene troppe specifiche dell'oggetto. Riduci il numero di specifiche dell'oggetto a non più di 45 e riprova.

Example Wrong Settings

A product imported from a supplier feed with 60 attribute columns, all mapped to eBay item specifics.

How to fix it

  1. In 3Dsellers, open the listing's Item Specifics and delete the ones eBay does not require or recommend until 45 or fewer remain.
  2. If a mapping template sends every product attribute as an item specific, trim the template.
  3. Publish again.

The listing has eBay's required and recommended specifics plus a few custom ones, 45 in total or fewer.
