Why this happens

The eBay Category or Product requires a particular Item Specific, but your listing does not include info for it. Why eBay enforces this: Some item specifics are required in each category so buyers can filter search results, for example Brand, Type or Size. Listings missing them are refused. When it usually happens: It usually appears after eBay adds a new required specific to a category, affecting existing listings on their next revision. On eBay's local sites this error reads as follows. German: Das Artikelmerkmal Marke fehlt. FĂŒgen Sie Marke zu diesem Angebot hinzu, geben Sie einen gĂŒltigen Wert ein und versuchen Sie es dann noch einmal.

Fashion categories may require "Brand" and USB cables may require "Type"

How to fix it

  1. Read the item specific name in the error (Brand, Type, Size and so on).
  2. In 3Dsellers, open the listing's Item Specifics and fill it. Use "Unbranded" or "Does not apply" when there is no real value.
  3. For many listings, use a bulk action or mapping rule to fill the field from your product data.
  4. Publish again.

How to prevent it

Review required specifics for your top categories regularly, and fill them in product templates so every listing has them.
