Why this happens

The email address for PayPal payment on the listing is not a PayPal email address. Why eBay enforces this: Payments sent through PayPal need an email address that belongs to a confirmed PayPal account. Otherwise buyers' payments would have nowhere to go. When it usually happens: It usually appears on old listings with a mistyped or outdated PayPal email.

Example Wrong Settings

PayPal email store@exmaple.com (typo).

How to fix it

  1. Edit the payment policy and enter the exact email address of your PayPal account.
  2. Refresh policies in 3Dsellers and republish the listing.

How to prevent it

Move listings to business policies with eBay managed payments, so no email address is needed.
