Why this happens

eBay is temporarily blocking changes to the listing to protect potential buyers. Why eBay enforces this: Product details describe exactly what buyers make offers on. eBay locks them while offers are pending so the item does not change under a buyer. When it usually happens: It usually appears on listings with Best Offer turned on and frequent offers.

How to fix it

  1. Open the listing in eBay Seller Hub and accept, counter or decline every pending Best Offer.
  2. Wait a few minutes, then republish the change from 3Dsellers.
  3. If offers keep arriving, temporarily turn off Best Offer on the listing while you edit it.

How to prevent it

Answer offers daily, and pause Best Offer briefly on listings you need to edit.
