Why this happens

Various eBay Categories require particular condition settings, and the current Item Condition does not match the eBay Category. This can happen if you change the category after setting a condition, or importing with incorrect data. Why eBay enforces this: Each eBay category has its own list of allowed conditions. A condition that exists in one category, such as New with tags in clothing, is refused in another. When it usually happens: It usually appears after moving listings to a new category or importing condition values from another marketplace. On eBay's local sites this error reads as follows. German: Der angegebene Zustand ist fĂŒr die ausgewĂ€hlte Hauptkategorie-ID ungĂŒltig. French: Le code d'Ă©tat spĂ©cifiĂ© n'est pas valide pour le numĂ©ro de catĂ©gorie principale sĂ©lectionnĂ©.

How to fix it

  1. In 3Dsellers, open the listing and re-select the condition; the list shows only values allowed for the category.
  2. If many listings are affected (for example after an import), use a mapping rule to map your condition values per category.
  3. Publish again.

Map condition values per category in 3Dsellers mapping rules, so each category receives a valid condition.
