Variation Specifics provided does not match with the variation specifics of the variations on the item.

The variation attributes sent do not match the ones on the live listing. Sync from eBay, or relist to change the attributes.

Why this happens

1) You are editing or relisting a sing-item listing to include variations, or — 2) The software you are using to edit does not have all the current variation data for the listing. Why eBay enforces this: A live variation listing has a fixed set of attribute names. eBay refuses updates that send different attributes, because the existing variations and sales would no longer match. When it usually happens: It usually appears when attributes were renamed in 3Dsellers, for example Colour to Color, or when variations are added to a single listing.

Example Wrong Settings

Update sends attribute Color while the live listing uses Colour.

How to fix it

  1. In 3Dsellers, sync the listing from eBay so the variation attributes match.
  2. If you are adding variations to a single-item listing or changing the attribute names, end the listing, copy it to Drafts, edit and publish as new.

How to prevent it

Keep attribute names stable on live listings and publish as new when the structure must change.
