Variation specific name "[Variation Name]" used for pictures does not exist in variation specific set.

Variation photos are assigned to an attribute that no longer exists. Re-assign the photos to a current attribute.

Why this happens

The Variation Photos are assigned to a Variation Option that no longer exists. Why eBay enforces this: Variation photos are grouped by one attribute, usually Color. If that attribute no longer exists in the variations, eBay cannot attach the photos to anything. When it usually happens: It usually appears after renaming or removing the attribute that photos were grouped by.

Example Wrong Settings

You uploaded variation photos for "Color," but then removed "Color" as an option.

How to fix it

  1. In 3Dsellers, open the Variations tab and check which attribute the variation photos are grouped by.
  2. Re-assign the photos to an attribute that exists in the current variation set (usually Color).
  3. Publish again.

How to prevent it

Re-assign variation photos whenever you rename or remove a variation attribute.
