The category does not support variation listings. Choose a category that does, or split into single listings.

Why this happens

Variations (size, color, etc.) are only allowed in some eBay categories. The listing has variations but the chosen category does not support them. Why eBay enforces this: Variations are supported only in some eBay categories. In others each variant must be a separate listing, and eBay refuses variation listings there. When it usually happens: It usually appears after a category re-map moves variation products into a category without variation support.

How to fix it

  1. In 3Dsellers, open the listing and choose a category that supports variations.
  2. If none fits, create one listing per variation.
  3. Publish again.

How to prevent it

Check variation support when changing category mappings for variation products.
