The eBay category or product requires PayPal or immediate pay options. Why eBay enforces this: Some categories and products on eBay require an electronic payment method to protect buyers. A listing without one is refused in those categories. When it usually happens: It appears on listings still using old payment templates without managed payments.

Example Wrong Settings

Listing in a restricted category with only bank transfer as payment.

How to fix it

  1. Edit the payment policy in eBay Seller Hub to include PayPal or eBay's managed payments.
  2. Refresh policies in 3Dsellers and assign the policy to the listing.
  3. Publish again.

How to prevent it

Update all payment policies to eBay managed payments and remove outdated payment templates.
