Why this happens

eBay is requiring PayPal for payment. Why eBay enforces this: In some categories and on some sites, eBay requires an electronic payment method (PayPal historically, now eBay managed payments) to protect buyers on high-risk items. When it usually happens: It appears mostly on old listings or templates created before managed payments, still set to offline payment only.

Example Wrong Settings

Listing accepts only cash on pickup in a category that requires electronic payment.

How to fix it

  1. In eBay Seller Hub edit the payment policy to include PayPal, or the managed-payments option on sites that use it.
  2. Refresh policies in 3Dsellers and assign the updated policy to the listing.
  3. Publish again.

How to prevent it

Move old listings to current business policies and delete payment templates that only allow offline methods.
