Why this happens

The Shipping Service selected does not support the weight set for the package. Why eBay enforces this: Every carrier service has a maximum weight. eBay refuses a listing whose package weight is over the limit of the selected service because the carrier would not accept the parcel. When it usually happens: It usually appears on heavy items or when weight was entered in grams but read as kilograms.

Example Wrong Settings

Package weight 35 kg with Royal Mail Tracked 48 (max 20 kg).

How to fix it

  1. In 3Dsellers, check the package weight on the listing and correct it if it is wrong (watch the unit).
  2. If the weight is right, edit the shipping policy or assign another one whose services accept that weight.
  3. Publish again.

How to prevent it

Keep separate shipping policies for heavy items and check the unit on every weight import.
