List in multiple Categories is not available within the Automotive categories

Automotive categories do not allow a second category. Remove the second category and republish.

Why this happens

eBay does not allow listing in multiple categories if an Automotive category is selected. Why eBay enforces this: eBay Motors parts categories rely on precise vehicle compatibility data and fee structures, so eBay does not allow a second category on those listings. When it usually happens: It appears when a store-wide secondary category rule also applies to auto parts listings.

Brake pads listed in eBay Motors Parts & Accessories with a second category in Home & Garden.

How to fix it

  1. In 3Dsellers, open the listing's category settings and clear the second category.
  2. Publish again.

How to prevent it

Exclude eBay Motors categories from any rule that adds a secondary category.
