To list in 2 categories, please specify 2 different categories.

The second category is the same as the first. Choose a different second category or remove it.

Why this happens

The listing uses the same category for the first and second category options. Why eBay enforces this: Listing in two categories costs an extra fee and is meant to reach a second audience. Selecting the same category twice adds nothing, so eBay refuses it. When it usually happens: It usually appears when a category mapping fills both the primary and secondary category from the same source field.

Example Wrong Settings

Primary category 11450 and secondary category 11450.

How to fix it

  1. In 3Dsellers, open the listing's category settings.
  2. Select a different second category, or clear it.
  3. Publish again.

How to prevent it

Leave the secondary category empty unless you have a real second category, and check that mapping rules do not copy the primary category into it.

Example Correct Settings

Primary category 11450 (Clothing) and secondary category 15724 (Women's Clothing), or no secondary category.
