The deposit option is enabled but no deposit amount is set. Enter an amount or turn the deposit off.

Why this happens

You have allowed buyers to make a deposit payment, but the deposit amount is not set. Why eBay enforces this: A deposit is a partial payment buyers make to hold an item, mainly for vehicles. If the deposit option is on, eBay needs the amount, otherwise buyers would not know what to pay. When it usually happens: It usually appears in eBay Motors listings where the deposit setting was copied from another listing without the amount.

How to fix it

  1. In 3Dsellers, open the listing's payment settings (deposits apply mostly to vehicles).
  2. Enter the deposit amount, or disable the deposit option.
  3. Publish again.

How to prevent it

Keep a dedicated payment policy for vehicles that includes the deposit amount and deadline.
