The listing has no description. Add one and republish.

Why this happens

eBay requires a description for each listing, however this listing is missing description content. Why eBay enforces this: eBay requires a description on every listing so buyers can read condition, contents and details that item specifics cannot express. A listing with an empty description is not accepted. When it usually happens: It usually appears on products imported without a description column, or when a Listing Designer template is applied but its description block is empty.

Example Wrong Settings

Description is empty because the CSV import had no description column mapped.

How to fix it

  1. In 3Dsellers, open the listing and write a description (a few sentences covering what the item is, condition and what is included).
  2. If you use a Listing Designer template, make sure the description block is not empty.
  3. For imports, map the source description column.
  4. Publish again.

How to prevent it

Map a description column in every import template, and use a default description block in the Listing Designer so no listing is ever published blank.

Example Correct Settings

Description includes what the item is, its condition, what is in the box, and any measurements.
